Here i'm trying a trick to load webpages as textures into a running Unity project. To make a solution that does work with Web Players I use a dirty trick: I use the netrenderer webservice that converts a given url to a picture.

The demo will be playable from within the browser if the Unity3D plugin is installed or a standalone version can be downloaded for Mac OS X (here) or Windows (here). Source code (project files) can be found here.

Demo version: 0.01, 18-August-2008. The project files (source) can be found here (needs Unity3D 2.0).

The you can walk around with the usual arrows and mouse to look around. The page shown is a random Wikipedia page, after about 15 seconds a new page is fetched. You can go to fullscreen with right mouse button (or Ctrl-Mouse for mac users), note it can take a few seconds before the page loads (cube will show green grass)
